Yeah that's right, I got to do a Jeff Goldblum portrait! And he rated it 10/10 Goldblums! I love my job so damn much. . Ok, so just to get this out::: BOOKS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN, but please follow the email instructions at jessiehopeless.com to start the appointment process. I'm slow getting back, but I will respond. I'm currently only really tattooing stuff that looks like what you see on my Instagram, so all black and gray all day, baby! I know it's restrictive, but it's what makes my heart happy. ❤️ . Thank you for making my day, @margie_llo! Come back and get more tattoos so I can hear more about your adventures!
Alexis doesn't mess around. I love that she didn't just want roses, she wanted ROSES. More please! Anybody want some giant roses plus a little patterny/designy background goodness? Thanks again, girl!
2017 broke my heart again and again. But! It was also full of adventures with new friends, and a ton of love and support from old friends, and I found parts of myself I never knew existed, like the part of me that luchador wrestled at Burning Man and unexpectedly loved it. 😆 . If the world falling apart has taught me anything, it's that love is better than security, kindness and forgiveness are better than being right, and that if you keep your eyes open and look around you, you can find fun just about anywhere. Let's do this, 2018!
I finished this Marla Singer from Fight Club and I couldn't wait to share it. So damn fun! Thank you so much, @the_hire! . Getting ready to take on a few new clients, so consider emailing me again if you already did and haven't heard back! :)
I feel so lucky to have such badass artist friends. This is @sweetdestructor. Her work is tactile and lovely and tough as shit, and Evie's a total babe. You can find us together a lot, and you can find her stuff locally at @opalandgold, @handandland, and @shopkemper if you're lucky enough to live in Kansas City (and on her site if not). #BADASSBABE
What a fun year of tattoos! #2017bestnine
Another big, hand painted piece on my homegirl Dawn. I love tattooing in this style so much. 😊😊😊😊😊
Hanging with the Exile crew tonight! I've never had a cocktail bar give me an existential moment, but there's a first time for everything.
Had tons of fun mixing realism with designy goodness for this tattoo. Thanks so much, Adam! You're the best! 👉 Swipe for video.
Zac and I finally finished his back piece after nearly a year of work, and it's such a joy to see it complete, and a little sad to have it done. When we initially discussed the piece, he told me that I could do whatever I wanted as long as it fit his theme. So I read a book he brought me about alchemy, did a bunch of internet research, made an insane scribbly sketch, and then we started on this. . Because of the way I tattoo, adding and amending as we go, looking back at a tattoo that was made over the course of a year is like looking at my diary. This is the part where we were talking about our childhoods, that's the part where I was brokenhearted, this is the part where we were listening to Holst at max volume. It's humbling and exhilarating, and I'm grateful I get to do this for a living. Thanks so much for being a badass, @capnzac.
